*After the food is cooked, immediately transfer it from the Dutch oven. Never leave food in the oven over night – remember it is not a food storage place
*After use, clean your Dutch oven with hot water and a brush. You need not wash it with soap – this might remove the flavor that a Dutch oven can impart to food made in it.
*Store your Dutch oven, with a thin coat of oil.
*Store your Dutch over in a dry place and do not cover it with the lid.
